Changing Times

In the wake of the latest Toronto mass shooting, I realized something about myself.

When I was growing up in the 80s, and I heard “bombing” on the news, I immediately thought “Irish.”

When I was a teenager/young adult in the 90s, and I heard “bombing” or “shooting”, I immediately thought “Islamic.”

Now, in the last half of the 2010s, when I hear “shooting”, I immediately think “incel.”
