Jiu Jitsu Tournament Cancelled

1. It’s silly that Canadians can’t (legally) choose to take part in a sport / art that is generally (and relatively) safe but happens to involve specific activities. (Strikes with the fists, hands, and feet.)

2. It’s silly that is disallowed while our our (stereotypical) national pastime – hockey – regularly and expectedly has televised fist fights. Nobody goes to jail for that.

3. It’s troubling that the only reason that the competition was cancelled this year (and not the previous 8) is that the cops decided to involve themselves for this particular time & event.
